Kate HodgeKate set up her own science communication consultancy, Hodge Environmental, in 2010 and specialises in designing visual communication products and tools. With a background in marine science, Kate is more than just a graphic designer and works with her clients to communicate complex scientific results to a broad audience. Current and previous projects include environmental health Report Cards (Fitzroy, Wet Tropics, Mack Whitsunday, Great Barrier Reef, Great Lakes), comprehensive GrowNotesTM documents on a range of crops for GRDC, conceptual diagrams, websites, posters, conference collateral and branding for a range of clients. Kate aims to make science both informative and visually appealing.

How does this work contribute to Seeing Science Differently?
Graphics and diagrams bring science out of black and white and into full colour, helping your audience to see your message, not just read about it.
