Kate set up her own science communication consultancy, Hodge Environmental, in 2010 and specialises in designing visual communication products and tools. With a background in marine science, Kate is more than just a graphic designer and works with her clients to communicate complex scientific results to a broad audience. Current and previous projects include environmental health Report Cards (Fitzroy, Wet Tropics, Mack Whitsunday, Great Barrier Reef, Great Lakes), comprehensive GrowNotes^TM documents on a range of crops for GRDC, conceptual diagrams, websites, posters, conference collateral and branding for a range of clients. Kate aims to make science both informative and visually appealing.
